Participant:

​Gain 32-40 hours of shadowing experience in a plethora of health careers during your spring break.

Responsibilities:
- Attend trip during spring break
- Attend a mandatory orientation
- Turn in a reflection essay about their experience of the trip

Team Leader (TL):

Gain valuable leadership skills through this role. Team Leaders are responsible for planning and leading a team of 4-7 students to an assigned HCASB site during the trip. 

Responsibilities:
- 3-5 hrs/week
- Contact clinics and housing
- Coordinate a school volunteer activity
- Respond promptly to all emails (12-24 hours max)

Preferred: Have a valid driver's license, insurance, and willingness to drive either own or rental vehicle to and from site

*prior experience with HCASB is not necessary
* guaranteed shadowing position on trip and priority choice for specialty

​Help make the trip great by joining the following teams: 

Applications Team: Help select participants for the trip

Marketing Team: Help us better market our organization via social media, website building, etc.

Orientation Team: Help set up a large scale event through renting a space, prepping materials, catering, finding guest speakers, etc.

Outreach Team: Help organize community service volunteering and train the rest of the club for this outreach.

*All committee members receive a substantial boost to their participant application score.

Scholarships

Concerned about paying for the trip? ​We award scholarships for students to students who demonstrate financial hardship. Full and partial scholarships are available to students who are accepted into the program. After program acceptance is confirmed, scholarship decisions will be made.
